Emails not sending after upgrading to Windows 10

After upgrading to Windows 10, you may notice that emails are not sending from your POP or IMAP account. This is a bug within the upgrade and can be fixed using the following instructions:

  1. Right click on the Start button of Windows and choose: Command Prompt (Admin).

    • If you don’t see this, instead choose: Windows PowerShell (Admin)
  2. Behind the prompt type: sfc /scannow
(note the space in the command)
  3. Wait until the process completes. This usually doesn’t take longer than 20 minutes.
  4. Restart your computer.
If the above does not fix your problem, please give us a call and we will be happy to help.
