When you register a domain, even though you are the legal owner, if you do not continue to renew the domain, it will expire and can then be released for anyone to register. It is important to renew any domains that you wish to keep, especially those used for your website and email. We will send domain renewal notices 4 weeks before renewal and then every week until the domain is renewed.
