Keep your email account secure by updating its password through cPanel.
Before you begin
You will need access to your cPanel account. If you do not know your cPanel login details, please contact our support team.
1. Open Email Accounts
After logging in to cPanel, scroll down to the Email section and select Email Accounts.
Select Email Accounts from the Email section of cPanel.
2. Open the Email Account Settings
You will see a list of all email accounts associated with your domain.
Find the email account you wish to update and select Manage.
Select Manage next to the email account you wish to update.
3. Enter a New Password
Under the Security section, enter a new password for the email account.
For improved security, we recommend using a password that contains:
- Uppercase letters
- Lowercase letters
- Numbers
- Special characters
You can also select Generate to create a secure password automatically.
Enter a new password for the email account.
4. Save Your Changes
Once you have entered your new password, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Update Email Settings.
Your new password will take effect immediately.
Select Update Email Settings to save your changes.
Important
If this email account is configured on any devices or email applications, you will need to update the saved password on each device to continue sending and receiving email.
This may include:
- Microsoft Outlook
- Apple Mail
- Thunderbird
- iPhone and iPad Mail
- Android Mail apps
